The Professional Learning Institute (PLi) provides customised strategic solutions to schools to promote a sustainable culture of innovation, leadership and continuous improvement. As a leading education sector specialist in Australia, we understand the nuanced ecosystems of school communities.

Our research-based model for enhancing school performance culture recognises that improving the effectiveness of teaching is the way to improve learning outcomes for more students. Educators are motivated to grow and change by innate and universal psychological needs, which is why PLi believes it is vital for teachers to become self-determined when their needs for competence, connection and autonomy are fulfilled.

We have a proven track record of success by taking time to carefully understand the unique context of every school and developing the right system in response to the specific needs of each organisation.

PLANNING FOR AN UNCERTAIN FUTURE:

THE CHALLENGE FOR SCHOOL PRINCIPALS

Accreditation of Early Learning Teachers

In an increasingly competitive marketplace with high vacancy rates and a projected 15% reduction in the workforce in the next few years, how do schools attract high quality candidates, as well as retain and develop their exisiting teachers? In a recent Monash University study, the results showed an alarming number (59%) of the teachers surveyed intended to leave the profession expressing feelings of a loss of professional trust, judgement and autonomy in their roles.

PLi believes that schools can avert this crisis by doing more to get the best out of their teachers. Creating career pathways for great practitioners to remain in the classroom, by teachers taking on coaching roles to support their colleagues, can revitalise the learning culture of an educational organisation. This becomes an attractive incentive for both prospective and current teachers in a school.

JOIN OUR PROFESSIONAL LEARNING COMMUNITY

PLi was the perfect facilitator for our College’s Strategic Plan. Their research was comprehensive, their process consultative, collaborative and direct, and their attention to detail allowed an articulate vision to emerge. More than this, PLi brings a wealth of experience in organisations and a personality that encourages openness and fun. All stakeholders in our community felt at ease to give feedback and have ownership over the outcomes.
