Being a leader in schools today requires more than managing operations – it requires the ability to coach, develop and empower staff to embrace growth and change. This practical online workshop introduces school leaders to PLi’s research-informed POWER Coaching model underpinned by the importance of connection, competence and autonomy. Participants will also understand how their Way of Being supports a Coaching approach and develop the core Coaching skills to have more impact in their professional conversations with others.

What is a Coaching Way of Being?
Avoiding the advice trap
Unpacking the POWER Coaching model
How to set high-leverage professional goals
Minimising judgement and bias in Coaching conversations

Authentic listening to build trust and rapport

This course is presented by Glenn McLachlan: an innovative educational thought leader and qualified Coach with proven expertise in designing and implementing successful professional learning programs in schools across the world. He is deeply passionate about supporting educators by inspiring teams in schools to build a culture of collective efficacy for all teachers to have a positive impact on student achievement.
He is a dynamic workshop facilitator and engaging international keynote speaker, with over 20 years of coaching and leadership experience to understand the myriad challenges of teaching. He studied coaching at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and trained under Dr Jim Knight from the International Coaching Group. Outside of education, Glenn is also a professional AFL Coach at the Sydney Swans Academy.
