This online workshop will assist educational leaders and teachers to manage a range of different and sometimes difficult stakeholders in schools. From colleagues, managers and parents, this course outlines the tools and techniques to deal with challenging personalities and situations.

The Dealing with Different (and Difficult) People in Schools short course will provide participants with practical strategies to be more adaptive and responsive in potentially stressful encounters with others.

This convenient 3hr online workshop 9.3am - 12.30pm (AEST) (or 111.30am -2.30pm (NZST) for NZ based registrants) will focus on the following outcomes:

  • Communication Skills – your strengths, weaknesses and annoyances

  • Modes of communication and technology – when to use/not use which             

  • Why people behave the way they do

  • The challenge of different values

  • Empathy – their needs and motivators

  • Active listening - ‘Seek first to understand’ (Covey)

  • Flexibility – The importance  of adapting

  • Quick DiSC (People like People like them)

  • What behaviours ‘push your buttons’

  • Managing the ‘Emotion vs Logic See Saw’
