Professional conversations about performance do not have to be ‘hard’ or ‘difficult’. This online workshop will introduce participants to a range of high impact strategies to reframe potentially challenging conversations with colleagues. This course will provide support to empower school leaders and teachers to stop avoiding having those difficult discussions with other team members. The course will focus on the following outcomes:

  • Developing better staff relationships based on honesty and integrity

  • The challenges with a top-down advice model for teachers

  • Self Determination Theory and motivation

  • Linking physiological and cognitive responses to ‘change’

  • Understanding how underlying beliefs about conversations affect our actions

  • The 5 Key Ingredients for Powerful Dialogue

  • Improving school culture by establishing protocols for receiving and providing powerful feedback on performance

  • Helping teachers and leaders learn to adapt to change within the organisation

  • Inspiring teachers to set goals to improve performance

  • Assisting school leaders and teachers to adopt high impact strategies to achieve goals and track progress
