Being a leader in schools today requires more than managing operations – it requires the ability to coach, develop and empower staff to embrace growth and change. This practical online workshop introduces school leaders to PLi’s research-informed POWER Coaching model underpinned by the importance of connection, competence and autonomy. Participants will also understand how their Way of Being supports a Coaching approach and develop the core Coaching skills to have more impact in their professional conversations with others.

The course will focus on the following outcomes:

  • Barriers to transitioning between the comfort and learning zones

  • What is a Coaching Way of Being?

  • Avoiding the advice trap

  • Unpacking the POWER Coaching model

  • How to set high-leverage professional goals

  • Minimising judgement and bias in Coaching conversations

  • Asking better questions - curiosity over conviction

  • Authentic listening to build trust and rapport
