To be a high performing school you need to have high performing staff. As a school leader/ manager there are steps you can take to maintain a culture of strong performance, as well as deal with underperformance issues if they arise.

This online workshop will assist educational leaders to provide a structured and supportive environment to ensure the best possible outcome for both the teacher/ staff member aligned to the broader objectives of the school.

This convenient 3hr online workshop 9.30am - 12.30pm (AEST) (or 11.30am -2.30pm (NZST) for NZ based registrants) will focus on the following outcomes

  • Why conduct performance appraisals - what are we trying to achieve?

  • What goes wrong – common appraisal errors

  • The power of scheduled, recurring one-on-one meetings

  • Identifying positive performance – put the ‘praise’ back in ‘appraise’

  • Why don’t people do what they are supposed to do?!

  • Preparing for the meeting – the interview framework

  • Setting goal areas and agreeing upon the required performance

  • Writing key performance indicators

  • Building action plans and milestones

  • Providing the necessary follow-up action to support performance appraisal meetings
